My Chemical Romance - "Desolation Row"[]
My Chemical Romance covered "Desolation Row," originally by Bob Dylan, for the soundtrack of Watchmen. Zack Snyder directed the music video, which was designed as if it took place within the universe presented in the movie. The video tells a story of a riot occurring in and around a punk concert that's being combatted by police and a SWAT team, who eventually arrest the band. The first chapter of Watchmen, upon which the movie was based, was named "At Midnight All the Agents" after "Desolation Row." The cover song peaked at #20 among Billboard's modern rock tracks in March 2009 and reached #1 on the UK Rock & Metal charts during Feburary 2009.
Dan Fogler, Ezra Miller - "Hanukkah, O Hanukkah (A Magical Time of Year)"[]
As part of the Harry Potter: Fantastic Beasts promotion, various artists from the film series created works to support the LUMOS charity. One of these projects, "Hanukkah, O Hanukkah," was put together by Dan Fogler and Ezra Miller, the latter of whom requested Snyder and his son, Eli Snyder's support as camera operators. The music video was released on December 23, 2019.
