Tyler Bates is an American musician and composer. He started working with Cruel and Unusual Films by composing Dawn of the Dead, then returned for 300, Watchmen, Tales of the Black Freighter, and teamed with Marius De Vries to score Sucker Punch.
Bates also scored the tie-in game, 300: March to Glory for the Sony PSP, and his Sucker Punch music was reused for Sucker Punch: Annihilation.
Bates was nominated for the Best Music award by the Saturn Awards for his 300 score and received the BMI Film Music Award from the BMI Film & TV Awards for the same score.
