Tom Holkenborg (born December 8, 1967) is a Dutch film composer. He's commonly known as Junkie XL, the "XL" of which stands for "expanding limits." He co-scored Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in the DC Extended Universe before scoring Zack Snyder's Justice League on his own. He also scored 300: Rise of an Empire between then, then went on to join the Armyverse and composed Army of the Dead, for which he was nominated for the "Best Original Score - Horror Film" in the 2021 Hollywood Music in Media Awards, and Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas. After this he scored Rebel Moon.
In addition to these projects, he composed most of Justice League before being replaced, and was set to compose Army of Thieves before Hans Zimmer took his place. He also composed Zack Snyder's short film, Snow Steam Iron. He employed Antonio Di Iorio as his executive senior assistant and additional music composer for four years during the composing of Snow Steam Iron and Zack Snyder's Justice League. He made an appearance in the third Snyder School episode, "Making the Cut", where he talked about sound design for Army of the Dead.

Holkenberg has a YouTube channel on which he has a series called Studio Time. Each episode focuses on a single track or suite from his body of work. He talks about the piece and what went into creating it. Season 4, episode 13 featured Army of the Dead's "Scott And Kate".
