"Whenever we were stuck, Zack's like, 'You know what, I think this guy can do it perfectly,' and we're like, 'Do you think he would do it?' and Zack's like, 'Let me give him a call,' and Zack would just call him and I'm like, how cool is that? He just has these actors on speed dial. . . Everybody loves working with Zack. I mean, that's the one thing I can't stress enough. So whenever Zack gives you a call, you're more than happy to drop everything and help out."

Jay Oliva, Justice Con 2021

Jay Oliva is an American artist, animator, producer, and animation director. He started working with Zack Snyder and Cruel and Unusual Films with 2013's Man of Steel as a storyboard artist, then continued with that role through nearly every Cruel and Unusual Films and The Stone Quarry film since. He storyboarded 300: Rise of an Empire, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Wonder Woman, Justice League, Zack Snyder's Justice League, and Army of the Dead. He also completed an unknown workload for Rebel Moon early in its production, likely referring to storyboarding the project.

In addition to storyboarding and with years of professional animation experience, Oliva founded Lex + Otis in 2018. Under this animation studio he led the animated series, Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas then under the joint venture, KRAKN Animation, led Twilight of the Gods as the showrunner and one of the directors for both. Twilight was his original concept based on Norse mythology. He was a producer for Lost Vegas and an executive producer for Twilight. Also for Twilight, Oliva co-founded the animation wing of The Stone Quarry, Stone Quarry Animation, alongside the Zack and Deborah Snyder and Wesley Coller.

Oliva directed and storyboarded the dream sequence of the 365th episode of Teen Titans Go!, which featured Zack Snyder and Patrick Wilson guest-starring as themselves. He was also referenced in Batman v Superman with a name plate matching his name. The character was labeled as a sports writer for the Daily Planet, and his absence is what caused Clark Kent's assignment in Gotham City, ultimately leading to the conflict with Batman.
