Magdalene "Mags" Visaggio is an American comics writer who was born on September 22, 1984. She wrote House of the Bloodaxe based on a core premise from Zack Snyder using characters from Rebel Moon — Part One: A Child of Fire and Rebel Moon — Part Two: The Scargiver. She also wrote much of the narrative podcast, The Seneschal, as one of the series' creative producers. Her published work in comics started as early as 2006 with the co-creation of Sanctuary that was later renamed Stronghold, followed by a successful Kickstarter campaign for Andrew Jackson in Space, also created by Visaggio. She gained prominence with Kim & Kim and worked on Quantum Teens Are Go, Sex Death Revolution, and Eternity Girl before creating her next original comics, The Ojja-Wojja: A Teen Horror Mystery or Whatever, You Know? and Vagrant Queen, the latter of which was adapted into a ten-episode, live-action series for SyFy.

Clark Bint is a British comic book artist born January 25, 1992. His past work includes Killtopia, Frank at Home on the Farm, and Cyberarchy, which was a series launched as part of Heavy Metal Magazine Volume 2, #1. He did the pencils and inks for House of the Bloodaxe, also providing a variant cover for #1 featuring the seneschal of Shasu.
